I am a researcher on CARMAH’s Challenging Populist Truth-Making in Europe (CHAPTER) project researching digital solutions to political problems in museums. My research focusses on how British museums are affected by populism (and vice versa), dealing with issues of truth-making, fake news, and authority. Since the summer of 2021, I have been conducting ethnographic research with the Migration Museum and Museum of London.

My previous research dissertations have focussed on sensory and digital anthropology. My master’s dissertation ‘Sonic systems of knowledge: an ethnographic study of the use and value of sound in museums’, focussed on sound and affect in British museums and exhibitions. I have spent several years working and volunteering in museums and similar institutions around the U.K. and have enjoyed balancing theory and practice in my work.
